RAINBOW WAVE BLANKET!!!

This is my favorite thing I've done! It took quite awhile, but I worked FAST on it. I used really cheap yarn (like, 2 bucks per color), but I love the way it looks! The only problem I have is with the edge of the purple. It didn't curve the right way; it's almost straight across. Oh well. How pretty is this?!?!

This one is to show you the difference between the two sides. They have completely different finishes!:

It's about 2 by 2.5 feet! I love it.

Red Scarf

This scarf is very pretty in person. It's another lionbrand.com pattern, knitted with their Wool-Ease: Thick & Quick. I love it! It's, like, something I'd actually wear!

Scarf with Cuffs

This was a really simple scarf that has hand cuffs (and thumbholes) at each end. It's knitted end to end on circular needles. It was my first exercise in a new way of binding off. When the scarf itself is as wide as you want it, you keep knitting at both ends, which requires you to bind off almost the entire length of the scarf while both ends stay knit-able. I finally found out what stitch savers are used for!

The yarn is Red Heart, from Wal-Mart. Super cheap (in cost and appearance), but it was easy and quick to work with. It's pretty slippery on the needles.

Make-Me-Feel-Pretty-(Quick) Scarf

This is a scarf I loved when I found the pattern. In person, it's... okay. It was made with Bernat Baby Coordinates. It's a yarn that has a pearly strand twisted throughout the color (in this case, baby blue).

Hers has larger holes and also looks muuuuuch softer. I wonder what I did wrong? =)

Green baby blanket

Well, it's been quite awhile! Oh well.

This is a baby blanket I knitted for my cousin Carrie's new baby, Jase. I started it before she was pregnant, but since I'm usually knitting sans destination... it felt like a good fit. The yarn is Bernat Baby Yarn, in Baby Green. The color doesn't come across in the photos, which is disappointing... but you should know, everyone complimented the color choice!

The pattern came from lionbrand.com, and it was REALLY simple. The best thing about it is that after doing the first row or two of the pattern, I didn't have to look at it ever again. And the rows are easy enough to count by sight, so you don't need a row counter.

Hopefully, Carrie (and Jase) will love it!
